Get $500,000 for Health Care Center Renovations from the HRSA

If you own a healthcare clinic, then there’s never been a better time to consider renovations. Right now, The government is awarding large amounts of cash to qualified health care centers to pay for changes in infrastructure. Apply for an HRSA grant, and use up to $500,00 for minor renovations such as expanding your patient waiting room or redesigning corridors for maximum space allowance.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (H8F)

Signed in March of this year, the 2-year American Rescue Plan funding for Health Centers grant will award 1 billion dollars to eligible medical centers as part of Covid relief response in urban areas that are under-represented. Health centers in vulnerable communities that apply and are awarded government funding may use their grant towards five specific categories.

  • Covid-19 vaccination capacity
  • Covid-19 response and treatment capacity
  • Maintaining and increasing capacity
  • Recovery and stabilization
  • Infrastructure: minor alteration/renovation (A/R), mobile units and vehicles

“HRSA-funded health centers play a vital role in the local community response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said HRSA Acting Administrator Diana Espinosa. “Investing in health center construction and modernization will significantly increase access to affordable, high-quality primary health care services in underserved communities across the nation.”

According to the HRSA site, medical centers that qualify may use up to $500,00 of H8F funds towards major health care construction and renovation projects. As a facility owner, you can use that money for structural improvements, but also heating units, footpaths, telehealth technologies, and a myriad of other medical construction projects that will help you to better serve your community.
